IADC Middle East Drilling Conference and Exhibition 2021 in Abu Dhabi
As part of the Academy's initiatives to enhance its global partnerships, SADA accepted an invitation to participate in the IADC Middle East Drilling Conference and Exhibition 2021 in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of a number of its employees and trainees, to learn about the latest drilling technologies. The event was from December 14-15, 2021 were 4 SADA trainees and one employee are nominated to attend on behalf of SADA academy.

Seeing how the academy used the IADC event to build global partnerships made me wonder about follow-through.

A practical step would be turning those conference contacts into guest lectures or internship slots for drilling students, so the partnership reaches the classroom, not just the event floor.
It would be interesting to see how the partnerships formed at IADC translate into hands-on training modules.

For instance, could drilling crews test new well-control scenarios in a simulated rig environment after attending these sessions? That practical follow-through is where conference participation really pays off.
What stood out was treating the IADC invite as part of a broader global partnership strategy, not just a one-off event.

That shift from attending to building lasting industry ties feels like the harder and more valuable work.

The highlights from the IADC Middle East Drilling Conference are fascinating! I’m curious about how emerging technologies discussed might reshape drilling safety protocols. Do you think any new innovations revealed could be applied immediately? Also, speaking of puzzles, did anyone else find wordle answer today game particularly tricky?
